Another problem is poor communication because young people, parents, carers and teachers ALL feel they are not listened too, valued or respected. No matter what is said from this position nothing will change, people feel badly about their situation and are unable to change their perspective, however, when they do - magic happens.

Changing our perspective

We help people connect with their inner beauty by helping them to accept their 'perceived' faults. They slowly change their perspective, start to feel better and then evolve into becoming self empowered*. They see they have choices and can change their life. A small change can have enormous repercussions for everyone in the family, school and community as a whole.

Develop Your Child is a Community Interest Company, committed to creating a community environment for young people to blossom and grow into the wonderful creative individuals they are. We believe you are born with unlimited potential. The rigours of life can damage or hide this innate ability and source of energy, which, when re-connected, can fire up empowerment in young people and parents, in fact, everyone.

Specifically for you

Our programmes are designed specifically for children, young people, parents and the professionals working with these groups to create personal empowerment and harmonious family relationships. We use aspects of life coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programming, parent coaching and the incredible emotional breakthroughs created through overcoming physical challenges similar to that practiced by Tony Robbins at his firewalk events.

The vision of Develop Your Child is to extend our whole family coaching programme into schools and work with educators. We see these schools creating an ethos of empowerment at the heart of the community, along the lines of Children's Trust and extended schools. * The word 'empowerment' tends to be overused but we make no excuses because it is the most appropriate word capturing the essence of our work - to create personal empowerment.
