Nobody ever said that being a parent was easy. You have so many new challenges to face and can become totally focussed on looking after everyone in the family; being at their beck and call and run ragged without any time for yourself.
Did you know there's a different approach?
Some people say there's no such thing as a perfect parent. Well, that's not what I think. I believe you're all perfect parents because you're in a place now where you're open to new ideas, looking for ways to enhance your children's lives. And what we find is that when a parent takes on a different approach to communication, it can make a real difference within a whole family.
Are these issues that you face?
Do you feel you aren't respected, listened to or valued by your children? Perhaps you don't value yourself or give yourself enough - or any - 'me' time?
And what about your relationships with your children? Do you ever find yourself telling instead of asking, listening or negotiating - especially when you're busy? Perhaps you feel you don't have enough time with each child? Perhaps you don't engage them in decisions or allow them to take responsibility that suits their age and development. Are you inconsistent with your children, changing their boundaries and limits?
Did you know that the 'wrong' approach can create 'hollow' self-esteem/confidence in your children which is easily shattered because it isn't grounded in values or achievements?
Sometimes, when you lose communication with your children, a barrier is created that you just don't know how to break. Perhaps no one's ever shown you how to work on and create a different relationship?
You're not alone
Rest assured, many of your feelings, issues and experiences are shared by other parents. Sometimes, it's hard to reach out and ask for support - we're all worried about not looking like that perfect parent. At Develop Your Child (DYC), we're used to helping with parents' challenges. We're not here to judge you; we'd like to work with you to provide the support and guidance that enables you to reach a new level of communication and understanding within your family - to create a deeper connection that can make a magical difference.
Coaching for parents
In fact, at DYC we go much deeper in a vibrant, evolutionary personal development process. It's not like therapy, counselling, mentoring or conventional life coaching - it can be transformational - creating more sustainable evolvement that can give you a much deeper sense of personal empowerment. And what a wonderful feeling that is.
Join us on a journey of discovery
We promote 'energetic' listening and will help you understand the connection with and the sensitivity of your children. We'll show you how to sense your intuition and inner knowing and the benefits of trusting it. To many parents, this is a totally new concept that offers wonderful new ways of communicating to create a totally different family dynamic. See the details of our new DVD which explains more about this way of thinking.

Pioneering a new approach
We're also taking parent coaching to the next level and pioneering whole family coaching. A DYC trainer can visit your home and work with your whole family together, as well as having one-to-one sessions where required.
In the five years I've been doing this work, this innovative whole family coaching programme has been the most amazing and exciting development I've experienced. Working with a wide range of people, we've seen some wonderful changes in whole family cultures and communications even by the second week. Parents and teenagers are creating respectful and fulfilling relationships and some are talking about creating their own sustainability half way through the programme. It's truly inspiring.
This programme is being developed through the charity arm, Every Family Matters. You'll find more details of the Breakthrough Project here
Please do also explore the DYC site as there is a mountain of ideas and resources available for you.
