Who should attend?
Any professional in a relevant field who wants to make a difference to family relationships, for example; social workers, educators, home/school co-ordinators, parenting practitioners etc. There will be a short telephone interview to ensure we are aligned to work together.

About the diploma:
There'll be:

  • a workbook to complete during the course
  • e-mail support for the duration of your study
  • individual family coaching practicals to complete and report on


This diploma will enable you to be accredited by National Open College Network (NOCN) level 3* to continue your personal development.

Pre-workshop study
We ask you to:

  • read 'Listen to your children...' - the leading self help book for parents
  • watch the landmark 'Kids are really different these days' DVD

 

This will be sent to you free once you've completed your application for the course.

A powerful 2-day workshop
This is designed to be an enjoyable, empowering and information-packed 2 days. You'll hear more about our innovative approach and the principles of family coaching, find out how to make the most of the material provided, practise your skills and connect with other professionals. You'll also experience personal transformational development.

After the workshop
To achieve your diploma, you must complete the following:

  • Create lesson plans and run a minimum 10 session, 2 hour family coaching course and keep evaluation notes. A senior member of the DYC management will monitor the final session of this course
  • Continuous professional development - you must keep a record of your personal development within the family coaching profession


We'll give you forms for you to record, maintain and keep relevant work in the event of future Government legislation for life coaches. If you keep it fully maintained, this section will provide you with all the necessary information to submit for any required licence should the need arise. So there's no need to worry about any future legislation.
