This course has been designed as an introduction to these powerful techniques. Great for the enthusiastic parents who we've met - and those we haven't yet - who'd like to work with young people and/or parents to change the atmosphere in their families.
Before you come on the course...
We ask you to:
- read 'Listen to your children…' - the leading self help book for parents
- watch the leading edge 'Kids are really different these days' DVD
This will be sent to you free once you've completed your course application. It will give you some useful background into our approach, as well as starting you off on your journey of discovery about family coaching.

After the course
To receive your accreditation, you must also complete some practice coaching sessions - it's the ideal opportunity to put all your learning to the test and to become more confident in using your skills.
Create lesson plans for and run at least 4 sessions (each 2 hours long) with a family/client group, which can be young people, parents or a family using your new found coaching skills. If required you can join our special group mentoring teleclasses to give you all the support you need. Your feedback will then be assessed by the Develop Your Child team.
Accreditation
* This course is accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN) accreditation number BZT 327 level 2.
The fee includes:
- a comprehensive manual: to use during training and to support your mentorship of other parents and families
- a copy of 'Listen to your children...'
- the 'Kids are really different these days' DVD
- the 10 session 2 hour course with refreshments
- regular mentor teleclass calls during your post-course coaching
- email support for the duration of your study
- assessment of your notes from your post-course coaching
- your certificate, once you have successfully completed all the elements
Numbers on the course will be limited to 8 to ensure maximum personal development.
