Having thoroughly enjoyed working with children and young people on a voluntary basis for a number of years (Prince's Trust, Mentoring in schools, Young Offenders) I decided that one of my niche markets for my Coaching Business was to be Children and Young people. I contacted a number of people and schools locally who all showed a lot of interest however, it became increasingly obvious that funds were limited. People were very happy for me to continue on a voluntary basis. I then decided to see what other people had already done and started doing research on the web. I found one or two websites where coaches specialised with working with teens and started contacting the coaches. I got one response from a chap called Tim Hall who had experienced similar responses to me. he had given up with approaching schools directly and decided to join up with Young Bizz to deliver business courses to children. He is now coaching children through delivering these events. I realised that I needed to join forces or work in partnership with someone who is already established/looking to grow. I am not sure exactly how I found the DYC website however, I did! I then knew that I wanted to be a part of the success of Develop Your Child. That was when I decided to become a licensee. I know that the DYC Coaching brand will grow and has a huge potential and I want to be a part of it. It's all about achieving my dream of introducing the power of coaching to children and young people around the world. I want to enable children to realise that they have the resources within them to achieve whatever they want. I know that many children do not achieve their full potential due to low self-esteem and a lack of confidence. I want to bring an awareness to them that they have the freedom and choice to create the lives they deserve. I want to encourage them to be themselves, to listen to their intuition, to choose positive thoughts, to take responsibility for their decisions, actions and the results they get in life. I also find your commitment and absolutely genuine and total belief in the Develop Your Child coaching and products etc very motivating. I feel totally committed to making this successful not only for myself but for you too. I just wish I had more hours in the day! Although it's probably more about getting my priorities in order! |
