"Britain's Next Top Coach"
I was really attracted to the purpose of the competition “Britain’s Next Top Coach” - to ‘inspire a nation’ by 2012. Not that I’m pretending to be a top coach, but for me it’s the opportunity to create the UK equivalent of the ‘Obama Effect’.

We, as part of the personal development community, can inspire our nation over the next 3 years to create a real and lasting legacy for hosting the 2012 Olympics.

A lasting legacy
A legacy that goes beyond the buildings and physical infrastructure created to host the games but rather to the heart of the nation. A legacy that shifts the culture of a nation - a legacy in which coaches and coaching can play a very special role.

For those that know me, know I've taken a huge step outside my comfort zone to make these videos. I am very uncomfortable when anyone puts a microphone in front of me or worse still a camera. I’ve gone through this discomfort to get the message of our critical family work out there. I know I can hear you say "get over yourself Alan!”.
